In continuous practice
for 57 years, Kane and Johnson Architects, Inc. was
founded in 1951 in Austin, Minnesota, as “Warren
Kane, Architect”. When David assumed the Presidency
of the firm in 1975 (upon the untimely death of his
father, Warren), the firm had two employees. David
has expanded the firm to include offices in Rochester
and St. Paul, Minnesota.
The Firm began specialty
work in asbestos abatement in 1983 and formally established
the Environmental Division by opening the St. Paul
office in May 1989. This Division is under the direction
of Vern Johnson, Principal.
In April of 2007,
Kane and Johnson Architects merged with Satory Interior
Design of Wabasha, Minnesota. Jennifer Satory Christoffer
joined the team, to head the Firm’s Interior
Design Division.
David Kane is registered
to practice as an Architect in the states of Minnesota,
Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota and Colorado.
As an NCARB member, his registration in additional
states can be easily obtained through reciprocity.
