Fillmore County
embarked on a major remodel and renovation of the
Courthouse spaces in a project that spanned three
years. During this time an elevator was installed,
a window replacement project was completed, and a
$3.4 million dollar addition and renovation project
was completed.
Upgrades of the
existing Courthouse included renovation of existing
office spaces, addition of 2 “wings” on either side of the northern
portion of the building, new high-tech courtrooms
and associated hearing, jury and judges rooms, enlarged
and additional offices, increased storage, restrooms,
etc. This project provided more space for the courts,
which nearly doubled the total square footage, remodeled
much of the existing courthouse and replaced the
mechanical system for improved air quality.
