Church of St. Joseph
Addition/Remodel

KJA’s relationship with St. Joseph’s began back in 1988 with a Feasibility Study that addressed the following specific needs: Handicapped Accessibility; Remodeling, sub-dividing of the existing Fellowship Hall to meet a need for additional Classrooms and Meeting Rooms; and Excavation of approximately 2,000 sq. ft. under the Sanctuary and Narthex to provide additional Classrooms, Nursery, Bride's Room, etc. Following completion of that Study, an elevator was added.

Completed in 2004, the most recent project is a beautiful 12,700 s.f. addition and 1,600 s.f. remodeling project that houses the Parish offices, major Gathering Space, Library, Nazareth Hall (social hall), multi-use meeting rooms and classrooms. Many beautiful accents from the existing building were integrated in the addition including woodwork, doors, brick, stonework, clay tile roof, etc.

St. John Lutheran Church

Special design considerations were needed for this historically significant church. KJA established the needs, controlled costs and successfully blended the existing building with the new addition. This 9,200 s.f. addition includes a new gathering space, elevator, administration offices, entry and classrooms. A portion of the existing building was remodeled for a new kitchen, restrooms, nursery and classrooms.

St. John Vianney Catholic Church
Addition/Remodel

KJA’s design solution for this project was to attach an addition to each side of this existing building. The addition on the south side of the building is approximately 4,270 s.f. housing a Gathering Space, Baptismal font, library, and two entry vestibules. The addition on the north side of the building is approximately 6,280 s.f. housing a multi-use classroom, storage area, accessible toilets, meeting rooms, kitchen, a large multi-use dining area, and one entry vestibule. The project also included parking lot expansion, minor interior remodeling and a new air-conditioning system.
